Planet earth is made up of different things such as air,water,plants, animals, soil, rocks, minerals, crude oil, and other fossil fuels.These are called "Natural resources" for it is not made by people.
Philippines is considered rich in natural resources for we have fertile arable lands, high diversity of plants and animals, extensive coastlines, and rich mineral deposits. We natural gas,coal, and geothermal energy.
Among our important metallic minerals found in abundance in various parts of the country include gold, copper, iron, chromite, nickel, cobalt and platinum, while our non-metallic resources include sand and gravel, limestone, marble, clay, and other quarry materials.
The Philippines is situated along the Circum-Pacific Rim of Fire, where the processes of volcanism and plate convergence caused the deposition of minerals, both metallic and non-metallic. In fact, the large reserves of various kinds of minerals beneath our ground has put the country in the world mineral map as 5th mineral country in the world, 3rd in gold reserves, 4th in copper, and 5th in nickel.
Some Energy resources available in our country are hydroelectricity,coal, geothermal energy, natural gas, and oil.
An energy resource is something that can produce heat, power life, move objects, or produce electricity.
