Shift Statistics Number of Shifts filled From the beginning of the year untill now 161 shifts were scheduled to run. Of these, 97 (60%) actually ran. Of the shifts run during this time, 1% were staffed by 1 volunteer, 57% were staffed by 2 volunteers, 42% were staffed by 3 volunteers. Since Rota Introduction Since the Introduction of the Rota 63 shifts were scheduled to run. Of these, 50 (79%) actually ran. Of the shifts run during this time, 2% were staffed by 1 volunteer, 50% were staffed by 2 volunteers, 48% were staffed by 3 volunteers. This year we've introduced a rota stystem to make sure more shifts get filled. This ensures we're there for all students and we have regular funding from the University. Types of Call This year we had 452 Calls. Over half of these
were NOT obscene/regular callers.
The main reason people rang was a tie between
relationship problems and just to have a chat. Method of Contact Our main method of contact
was by phone, followed by drop ins.
The text service has also begun to be used!
When we're used Callers need us everyday but it
seems sometimes we get more calls
than others. Our busiest day is Sunday.
Before another week starts. Genders of Nightliners and Callers More men than women do shifts and are callers. A majority of callers identities are unknown as it's online, text, or email or an immediate hang up.
