This Prezi will talk about the important places that were built or present during the Renaissance. There were plenty of them, including the Milan Cathedral, the Colosseum, and many more.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa was built in 1173. It is important because it is located in Florence, Italy; which is where the Renaissance began.
The Siena Cathedral was built in 1215, and is important to the Renaissance because it was built before it and went through all of that time and is still standing now. It is also important because it contains art from the Renaissance.
Italy has many famous buildings from the Renaissance; the Colosseum was started to be built in 70 AD and is still standing now. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is also in Italy, it was started to be built in 1173, and is also still standing now.
St. Paul's Cathedral was began to be built in 1675. It was important because it was built by Inigo Jones, who was one of the first great architects during the Renaissance Period.
The Colosseum in Rome was built in 70 AD. It is important because it was used during the Renaissance Period.
The Royal Palace of Naples was built around 1600. It is important because it was a part of the Roman Republic
The Charlottenburg Palace was built at the end of the 17th century and was expanded hugely in the 18th century. It was important because it wasn't built until the end of the Renaissance Period.
Wawel Castle was built in the 14th Century. It's importance to the Renaissance was that it went through the whole experience.
In 1163, the construction of Notre Dame de Paris was started. It was important because the Renaissance began to transform Paris into a more modern city.
The Milan Cathedral construction began in 1386. It was important to the Renaissance because Milan became a strong monarchy under a succession of powerful dukes
A famous building in Venice is Doge's Palace. It was built in the 14th and 15th Century. Venice was important because they did a lot of trading, which was important.
The Royal Palace of Amsterdam was built in the 17th century. It was important because it was one of the top financial centres in Europe
The Old St. Nicholas Church was built in the 12th Century. It is important because it was built way before the Renaissance period and lasted throught the whole thing.
