FCCLA Southern Region 5 Texting and Driving: The Cancer of Society that needs to be cured. Georgia Laws for Texting and Driving Georgia Laws for texting and driving:
Ban all cell phone use for bus drivers
Ban all cell phone use for beginning drivers One important distraction that will be discussed on this presentation is texting and driving among teenagers and how it has an impact them and their driving.
What will also be presented are the key facts, laws and regulations, and statistics of teens killed or injured while being distracted. The Concerns of Texting and Driving Statistics The concerns that needs to be address are :
Teens that are multitasking while driving
The dangers of texting and driving
Fatalities caused by texting and driving and other distractions
Not realizing its severe consequences
Breaking the law
The greatest proportion of teens are under 20

Did you know? You are 23x more likely to crash while texting and driving 11 teens die everyday because of distracted driving 48% teens admit texting while driving 100,000 injuries & deaths Reading a text for 5 seconds is the length of a football field Texting while driving is worst than drinking and driving. 77% Young adults say are very confident that they can text while driving. 55% of young drivers claim it is easy to text and drive.
