Block C My Life: 1997 I was born on August 5, 1997 in Chattanooga, TN. My Life: 1998 I took my first steps walking as a baby in August of 1998. My Life: 1999 My dog died at 15 years old. His name was TD. My Life: 2000 My brother Trent was born on May 4, 2000. My Life: 2001 My dad accepted an offensive coordinator job at the University of Miami (OH) so we have to move for the first time. My Life: 2002 I started playing team sports for the first time. My Life: 2003 Miami (OH) got invited to the GMAC Bowl Game in Mobile, AL and I got to go. My Life: 2004 My dad took the head coaching job at Miami (OH) so we moved to a house closer to the University. My Life: 2005 I caught the first pitch at a Cincinnati Reds baseball game. My Life: 2006 I had my first communion at St. Mary's Church in Oxford, OH. My Life: 2007 Miami (OH) had the best record in the MAC conference so they got invited to the MAC Championship game at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan where the Detroit Lions play. I got to go to this game also. My Life: 2008 I had a bike wreck in a woods right by my house and i couldn't move for a couple minutes. I bruised my arm, bruised my face, and got a scar on my elbow that i still have today. Life Timeline My Life: 2009 My dad took an offensive coordinator job at the University of Akron so we had to move for the 2nd time. 2010 I got my dog from a rescue shelter in Canton in September. My Life: 2012 My Life: 2011 I went to Rehobeth Beach and Aberdeen, Maryland in July for a baseball tournament. American History: 1997 President Bill Clinton denied federal funding for any research on human cloning. American History: 1998 American History: 1999 A shooting massacre at Columbine High School near Denver, Colorado on April 20, 1999. Two students led the shooting and killed twelve students and one teacher, also injuring twenty-four others, before committing suicide. Former president Bill Clinton had a sexual scandal with White House Intern Monica Lewinsky. American History: 2000 George W. Bush wins the presidential election. American History: 2001 Pop Culture 1997 Mike Tyson bites Evander Holyfield's ear during a match and is suspended from boxing. Pop Culture: 1998 The hit movie "There's Something About Mary" is released. Pop Culture: 1999 The Star Wars series is just getting started. Pop Culture: 2000 Tom Brady, my favorite NFL player, gets drafted 199th overall by the New England Patriots in the 2000 NFL Draft. 19 terrorists hijacked 4 planes and crashed them into the Pentagon, The World Center, and a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania killing 3000 people and injuring over 6000. The USS Cole was bombed in Yemeni waters,
killing 17 United States Navy Sailors. November 7, 2000- Hilary Clinton becomes first ever lady to win public office. October 7, 2001- The U.S. declares
war on the Taliban. September 18, 2001- Attacks by mail from Princeton, NJ against news and government targets begin Pop Culture: 2001 Oprah Winfrey debuts O Magazine. Tiger Woods, at age 21, becomes youngest ever golfer to win the Masters. First book in the series Harry Potter in published. The House of Representatives impeaches President Clinton on December 19th. U.S. Supreme Court rules that the line-item veto is unconstitutional. The television show "America's funniest home videos" gets started. The search engine Google is found. U.S. Senate opens impeachment trial of President Clinton. John F. Kennedy Jr.'s wife and sister are lost at sea when a plane he was piloting disappears off of Massachusetts coast. Famous song artists Eminem and Kid Rock start becoming very popular. The hit television show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" makes it television debut. The movie "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" is released. The once famous group N-Sync just becomes popular. The movies "Monster's Inc." and "Shrek" get released. The website Wikipedia goes online. American History: 2002 U.S. withdraws from International Court treaty on May 6, 2002. Pennsylvania miners rescued after spending 77 hours underground. Pop Culture: 2002 The Mars Odyssey finds signs of huge water ice deposits on the planet Mars. American History: 2006 American History: 2005 Rosa Parks, best known for refusing to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama, dies on October 24. Pop Culture: 2004 Facebook was launched as a social networking site. American History: 2003 American History: 2004 George W. Bush defeats John Kerry to win his 2nd term of presidency for the United States. Pop Culture: 2005 Pop Culture: 2003 Apple launches iTunes Pop Culture: 2006 Nintendo releases the Wii. Hit movies "Spiderman" and "Ice Age" are released. The famous band "Coldplay" starts becoming popular. Voters recall Governor Gray Davis from office and elect Arnold Schwarzenegger to succeed him. The United States Department of Homeland Security officially begins operations. Hurricane Isabel kills 40 lives and leaves six million people without power. The movie "Finding Nemo" is released. The song "Where is the Love" by the Black Eyed Peas was a top 10 hit in 2003. On April 29, the United States is re-elected to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, one year after losing its seat that it had held for 50 years. Martha Stewart is convicted of a felony and is sentenced to 5 months in prison. Scott Peterson is found guilty for the murder of his wife Laci. The first same sex marriage is performed in the United States. Ken Jennings begins his 74 game winning streak on the gameshow "Jeopardy". An F-2 tornado strikes the coal mining town of Wright, Wyoming , destroying nearly 100 homes and killing 2 people. Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans, Louisiana killing 1,836 people and caused $81.1 billion in damage. Famous video site "YouTube" is launched. Disneyland celebrates its 50th birthday. A remake of the 1933 classic movie "King Kong" is released. The Green freshman football team won the Suburban League. Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shoots and wounds a lawyer while quail hunting in Southern Texas. NASA launches a 9 year, 3 billion mile space mission, the first to Pluto. The Federal Reserve stops the publishing of M3 money supply data. The movie "The Pink Panther" is released. The one billionth song is purchased on Apple iTunes. Pop Culture: 2007 Apple introduces the first iPhone. American History: 2009 The Swine Flu spreads throughout the whole United States and infects hundreds of thousands of people. American History: 2007 President Bush announces a plan to station 21,500 troops in Iraq. Pop Culture: 2008 Beyonce's hit song "Single Ladies" is released. American History: 2008 Nebraska bans electric chair as only execution method. Pop Culture: 2009 Singing idol Michael Jackson dies. American History: 1997 A U.S. shuttle joins the Russian Space Station. The United States Senate approves the Peru Free Trade Agreement. STS-118 lands at the Kennedy Space Center, completing Space Shuttle Endeaveur's 19th flight. The final Harry Potter book is published. Fisher Price recalls over 1 million Chinese made toys. The United States Air Force retires the F-117 Nighthawk. Barack Obama becomes the first ever African American elected for President. The Detroit Lions become the first team in NFL history to go win-less in a 16 game season. The movie "Step Brothers" is released. President Obama announces that an additional 30,000 troops will be sent to Afghanistan. The United States are in a financial crisis and recession period. Tiger Woods runs into a fire hydrant late one night. People later find out that he is having affairs with more than 10 women. This impacted my life because if he would have approved this, we would probably be using human cloning today. This event impacted my life because we found a new way to do things in America. This event impacted my life because the U.S. and Russia are finally being nice to each other and we have been able to find more things in space. This event impacted my life because Bill Clinton was no longer our President. This event impacted my life because the U.S. had to find a new way to do things. This event impacted my life because this affair was the main reason Bill Clinton got impeached as President of the United States. This event impacted my life because now more women are becoming a part of the government and they are making the laws we use. This event impacted my life because it damaged our soldiers and weakened our Navy and Marine Corps. This impacted my life because he became the new President and deciding how we did things throughout the country. This event impacted my life because my country just entered a war and our soldiers and citizens are in danger. This event impacted my life because people are trying to harm the government in which I live by. This impacted my life because a lot more safety rules for airports have been put into place and I ride on airplanes a lot. This event impacted my life because people changed work place laws to make work places safer. This event impacted my life because the country that I live in rejoined an important group that helps the whole world. This event impacted my life because the United States court will have a harder time bringing our nation to justice. This event impacted my life because new measures for home security were put into place. This impacted my life because this event made me and the people around me feel really sad for the victims of this horrible natural disaster. This event impacted my life because Arnold Schwarzenegger became a governor and helped create laws that I obey. American History: 2004 This impacted my life because it helps a small investor protect his assets and my father is a small investor. This impacted my life because it made authorities think about better legal protection for spouses. This impacted my life because the country that I live in has a new President to set our laws and control our country. American History: 2006 American History: 2006 American History: 2007 American History: 2005 American History: 2005 This impacted my life because it made my family feel really sad for the victims and their families. This event impacted my life because it made my family and the people around me sad for the victims and the victim's families that were involved in this natural disaster. This impacted my life because Rosa Parks started the fight for integration and the United States is integrated throughout it's whole nation. This event impacted my life because we have been able to find out more cool things about space and the planet Pluto. This impacted my life because I, along with everyone else, are not able to get any new M3 money. This event impacted my life because I started to dislike Vice President Dick Cheney. I thought he shot the lawyer on purpose when I first found out about this incident. This event has impacted my life because it has made our country's poverty rate decrease. This event has impacted my life because our country has found out more about space and it has also given the United States more confidence for the next trip to outer space. This event has impacted my life because it made me feel sad for the soldiers that had to go to war and risk their life fighting for our country. American History: 2011 President Obama releases his birth certificate proving he was born in the United States. American History: 2010 A surge of suicides among gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transsexuals occur in the country. American History: 2010 Jessica Watson becomes the youngest person to sail nonstop, and unassisted around the world solo. American History: 2010 An explosion on a BP oil drilling rig off the coast of Louisiana kills 11 people and injures 17. American History: 2009 American History: 2009 Pop Culture: 2010 Apple releases the iPhone 4. This impacted my life because it made me proud to live in the United States because we are a great country and we are protected by brave and wonderful people. This event has impacted my life because he is my President and sets the laws I obey everyday. This event impacted my life because now our country has more mature ways to take care of bad people than an electrical chair. This event has impacted my life because I truly understand how lucky I am to live in the United States and be protected by such role models. This event has impacted my life because my family really thinks about what we buy. We think about what we buy because we don't want to waste money since the economy is bad. This event has impacted my life because I have really been paying attention to my health and making sure I wash my hands often and keep myself clean. This has impacted my life because there are now countries that have made same-sex marriage legal. This has impacted my life because now it gives me the confidence to do extraordinary things in life. This event has impacted my life because i feel bad for the victims in this tragedy. My life has also been impacted because we lose a lot of oil for our country. Android powered phones begin to outsell Apple in the smart phone market. American History: 2012 Washington Governor Chris Gregoire signs a bill legalizing same-sex marriage on February 13, 2012. American History: 2011 NASA announces that its Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has captured photo evidence of possible liquid water on Mars during warm seasons. Pop Culture: 2011 Charlie Sheen has his famous "Winning" meltdown. This event has impacted my life because this was my country's biggest threat. He did something to my country that everyone will never forget, the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center. This event has impacted my life because I used think Barack Obama wasn't born in the U.S. Now that i know he was born in the U.S, I am not worried of a potential threat to the United States. The rising star Adele releases a top 10 song of 2011. The T.V. series Friday Night Lights goes off-air. American History: 2012 Trayvon Martin is shot in Florida by George Zimmerman. This incident sparks racist rumors about George Zimmerman. American History: 2012 Barack Obama is elected for his 2nd Presidential term. Pop Culture: 2012 The hit single "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen is released. This event has impacted my life because more states in the country I live in keep legalizing same-sex marriage. This event impacted my life because I felt bad for Trayvon Martin since he was innocent. This event has impacted my life because Barack Obama is still my President and I still have to obey the rules he sets in place for our country. The addicting dance tune "Gangham Style" is released. This event has impacted my life because I have become more interested in space and science has become my favorite school subject.
