Did you know that all the water on the Earth right now, is the very same water that's always been here?
Solar + Radiation = Solar Radiation
Energy transferred from the Sun to the Earth!
There are lots of 'shun' words (words that end in '-tion' .) How many did you hear?
1. The water of the earth is constantly in motion, AND...
2. Every drop moves through this cycle, changing its state (physical appearance) along the way.
1. The student will be able to demonstrate understanding of water movement through the cycle by accurately labeling the water cycle.
The sun is the power source that enables the water cycle.
Copy the image above on (pg. 23 unless you are in period 3) and fill in the blanks using the words below.
Liquid water changes to a gas
Water vapor cools and clings together forming clouds
Water droplets grow larger and heavier until they fall as rain, sleet, hail, or snow
