Fronts
-A front is a boundary between two air masses.
-When warm air moves toward cold air, it is known as a warm front.
-This is shown on a weather map with a red line with red bumps.
-When cold air moves toward warm air, it is known as a cold front.
-This is shown on a weather map with a blue line with blue
triangles.
-When cold air and warm air masses are not moving much and are at a standoff, it is known as a stationary front.
-This is shown on a weather map with alternating red and blue lines with their corresponding symbols.`
-When a cold front overtakes a warm front, this is known as an occluded front.
-This is shown on a weather map with a purple line with purple
