Child-Friendly Explanation of the Big Bang Theory
By: John, David, Cooper, and Bailey

Topic 1
14 Billion years ago the universe began. All the particles of the universe were packed into one really tight dense ball called a singularity. That ball contained the entire universe!
Topic 2
Nobody is quite sure what happened but this tight ball exploded, and it sent pieces of the universe, space and time all over outer space. This explosion is what we call the Big Bang because it went BANG.
Topic 3
This explosion was very, very hot! 10,000 million million million degrees!!
Topic 4
After the explosion cooled down a little bit, which probably took a million years, a couple of stars, like the ones you see at night, formed. All of the matter from that big explosion expanded and it is still expanding today!!
Topic 5
Imagine making chocolate chip cookies in your oven at home. Think of how when you put the cookie dough on the tray the chocolate chips are very close together. After you bake those cookies it becomes flat and the chocolate chips spread out. That is just like our universe and it is still happening today.
