Health and Safety Measures
The aim of the project is to reinforce the brick arch while maintaining the outer parapet and arch.
Partial demolition of existing brick wall and small demolition works.
Use of hydraulic hammer attached to an excavator and also manual pneumatic hammers.
Earthworks including excavation, deposition and compaction of soil in the work site, and geotechnical site investigation.
• Work Offices
• Centring, Props, Temporary Platforms
• Traffic Management
• River Diversion
Taking into account the budget of the project (around 300000£), a small local contractor company would be able to handle it.
Analysis of demolition and earth-moving activities
Existing Arch Prior to Work
In this case, Amey is the one chosen with the help of Chevron (traffic safety and management) and Mouchel (environmental impact).
Erection, servicing and dismantling of portable offices, stores and workshops.
Portable offices = 1
