Transcript of Respect First Day 16

In the name of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we worship together and think about our Christian value of RESPECT .
It is more than a code - it is the way we are!
Serve others...
To err is human, to forgive divine’
(Alexander Pope).
Consider other people's feelings & try to do what is right...
What does the word RESPECT Mean?
What does the word RESPECT mean to Christians?
The hand prayer

Look at your thumb, it is closest to you. It can remind you to pray for your friends.

Look at your index finger, we use it to point the way. It can remind us to pray for the people who guide and teach us, people like our parents and carers, the teachers and head teacher in our school.

Look at your middle finger, it is the tallest and can remind you to pray for world leaders and politicians who make important decisions in the world.

Look at your fourth finger, it is the weakest of all the fingers and can remind you to pray for those in need. They may be people you know who are poorly or sad or perhaps people you’ve heard about from the news who are living in war zones or are facing famine or coping with another type of disaster.

Finally look at your little finger, it can remind you to remember to pray for yourself. God loves you and wants the very best for you.

In the name of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we worship together and think about our Christian value of SPRECTE .
How do we respect
what we value?
£89.3 million
£38 - £42
People are so valuable...
Lift them up, don't knock them down
Bless our school
Let trust, respect and love live here.
Respect and value one another,
Respect and value all we have
And be grateful for such riches.
Let us remember,
It takes many hands to build a school,
And all our hearts and minds to value and respect it!
How do we RESPECT
what we value?
In the name of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we worship together and think about our Christian value of RESPECT.
1 Peter 2:17

Show respect for all people. Love the brothers and sisters of God’s family. Respect God.
Dear Lord,
Help us to show respect for each other in the way we behave today. Help us to remember to put other people first and to think about their feelings, both in our classrooms and in our playground.
'Encourage one another and build each other up' (1 Thessalonians 5.11)
Dear God,
Thank you that you understand us.
Thank you that you are divine and that you are able to forgive.
Thank you for the story of Saul.
Thank you that you forgave his mistake
and that you changed him into someone who blessed many other people.

Close your eyes and imagine our percussion orchestra making clever harmony together. Imagine them performing in front of a big audience and everyone clapping loudly at the end of the performance. In fact, the audience loves it so much they stamp their feet too! Imagine how happy everyone is.
Every person is important in our world – Let’s RESPECT each other.
Let’s clap together for a job well done - 1, 2, 3.

I count
You count
We count
In the eyes of the Lord.
Follow the leader
Wherever he goes
For love, harmony and RESPECT.
