Transcript of Ruby Bridges Project

Ruby Bridges Ruby Bridges was a real-life girl who experienced a real-life trauma that most children today couldn't even imagine enduring. Ruby was 6-year old black girl who, at a time of racial profiling and discrimination, was forced to enter a previously white elementary school in hopes of gaining a better edcation. My opinion is that desegregation was one of the best things to happen to our country. Ruby Bridges' story is one that should be respected and should be treated with honor. She faced down horrible, annimalistic people just to get the education she deserved and never gave up that one day she could walk to school like a normal child and not have to be escorted by US Marshals. People who believe in segregation aren't bad people; just misguided. I don't think it's right to judge anyone for any reason until you actually get to know them as a person and learn first-hand how they act and treat others.
