Safe or Not?
Skiing or Reindeer Racing?
enough information on this sport. 7,000 people in the whole country of Finland are able to reindeer race. Reindeer Racing is not safe either because sometimes the reindeer don't listen and kick the racers or fall off. 10% of sami people reindeer herding. There is no recorded fan base for the sport. The sport doesn't fit in with the spirit of the of the Olympic Games besides the fact that it is a winter sport.
There really aren't many safety features of reindeer racing. In this sport you are risking your life to race a reindeer. Since it is so risky, not many people compete because of serious injuries or, very rare, death. You are giving the reindeer full control of your life when you compete in this sport.

Reindeer racing in the Olympics?
Many people are arguing to see if reindeer racing will make it to the Olympics. Our sources are telling us that it shouldn't be in the Olympics.They say that it doesn't meet almost any of the criteria to make it a Winter Olympic Sport. Only three countries participate in this sport, Russia, Finland, and Norway, and only 51 people in all of Finland compete! Not only is this sport unpopular, only Sami people can own reindeer.
