John Lennon is stopped by a man, Mark David Chapman, asking for an autograph. When returning home at about 10:50 that night Chapman steps out of the shadows as he says "Mr.Lennon" and then proceeds to shoot John, killing him. 1973 - John and Yoko move to New York City
- John begins his 18 month seperation
from Yoko
1974 - John makes his final concert appearance
with Elton John
1975 - John and Yoko are reunited
- U.S. Court of Appeals overturns John's
deportation order
- Sean Ono Taro Lennon is born
1976 - John is approved to become a
permanent resident in the U.S
1980 - Inspired to compose again
- Assassinated
