Transcript of Macbeth Character Analysis

Lady Macbeth: Married to Scottish King Macbeth, she plots the murder of Duncan and eventually kills herself as a result of the drama.
Lady Macbeth
Banquo: A brave, general in the Scottish army who fights alongside Macbeth until the three withces predict his children will become rulers of Scotland, and Macbeth orders murderers to kill him.
Banquo
Son of Duncan, he flees from Scotland after his fathers murder with Donalbain, which makes him appear extremely weak.
Malcolm
Macbeth: A Scottish General, who is promoted to Thane of Cawdor, and eventually King of Scotland who works beside Banquo, and is married to Lady Macbeth.

The Witches are hired through Macbeth, and begin to plot mischief among Macbeth and his surroundings using spells, potions, and most importantly prophecies.
Three Witches
Fleance
Banquo and Fleance
The son of Banquo, who is ordered to be killed by the murderers hired by Macbeth but escapes at the last moment.
King Duncan's son and Malcolm's younger brother. Donalbain flees Scotland and is never heard from again.
Donalbain
Duncan: The King of Scotland, father of Malcolm and Donalbain, who is eventually killed by Macbeth in his quest for power.
Macduff: A noblemen of Scotland, who eventually becomes the leader of the force that kills Macbeth.
Lady Macduff: Married to Macduff. Eventually is killed by Macbeth's forces.


Doctor: Provides a diagnosis and cure of Lady Macbeth's sleep walking disorder.
Murderers: Hired by King Macbeth, they are told to kill Banquo and Fleance, but only capture and kill Banquo.
