Salvador is the smallest of the Central American countries, with an area equal to that of Massachusetts, and it is the only one without an Atlantic coastline. Geography is important because it provides all the information about the geography, topography and climate of the country. El Salvador’s Geography also affects its climate. This country experiences a tropical type of climate and is marked by little fluctuations in the temperature all through the year. Most rain occurs during the winter season that commences in the month of May and usually lasts till October. Summer is from November to April. Rainy season is known as "invierno". Topography is another important aspect of El Salvador Geography. Most of the land of El Salvador is covered with mountains. There are two mountain ranges in El Salvador, which runs parallel to each other from east to west of the country. Then there is the central plateau which is in between the mountain ranges. The rest of the portion of the landscape of El Salvador is covered with plains, which are known as Pacific Lowlands. El Salvador is known as the “Land of the Volcanoes”. It has some of the most active volcanoes in the world. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&sugexp=les%3B&gs_rn=1&gs_ri=hp&cp=13&gs_id=1e&xhr=t&q=el+salvador+soccer&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&bvm=bv.41524429,d.b2U&biw=1311&bih=646&wrapid=tljp1359126595745024&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=UaACUeL_B8XjrAHokICICA#imgrc=W_CbhEtBqqognM%3A%3Bej9MLmaCDQdclM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252F3.bp.blogspot.com%252F_6IUY3gYCsao%252FS3IsGEX6HGI%252FAAAAAAAAAAM%252Fmm_WEcFuJmc%252FS660%252FCM10-H-ES1EU2-ElSalvador.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Ffutbolcuscatlan.blogspot.com%252F%3B660%3B440 https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=frogs&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&bvm=bv.41524429,d.b2U&biw=1311&bih=646&wrapid=tlif135912608411510&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=UZ4CUebDCIqyrQGttIHoBw#um=1&hl=en&tbo=d&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=El+Salvador+geography&oq=El+Salvador+geography&gs_l=img.3..0j0i24l3.146254.154456.0.154702.23.14.1.220.127.116.110.1825.9j4j5-1.14.0...0.0...1c.1.DMNBRwVMEoU&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&bvm=bv.41524429,d.aWc&fp=c31935571699cdda&biw=1311&bih=646
