Transcript of Integrity

A Requirement Israel's sacrifices offered to the Lord. Lev 22: 21-22 Sacrifice to be free from blemish - without any spot. Outward appearance was to reflect the inward condition. We cannot be one thing one day a week and then live out something different the rest of the time. Relationships - family, friends, school. Temptation of personal honesty. Stealing To take someone else's belongings without the right to do so or without that person's knowledge or approval. Exodus 20:15 Integrity ? You not only stop stealing but work so that you can give some away to others in need. Dishonesty Lie - to speak an untruth in order to mislead or deceive the hearer. Do not lie to each other... Col 3:9 We can be dishonest
when we are silent, when we don't speak up when we should. A LIE IS A LIETO GOD NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL. Boasting or bragging - to stretch the truth. Cheating Cheating in tests
Cheating in games
Cheating in voting Leviticus 19:13 - You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him When we are dishonest, we hurt others. How do we overcome these temptations? Stay as far away from things that tempt you.
Do all you can to draw close to God.
Practice being honest with everyone, all the time. Deciding to integrate or blend my heart’s value into my daily actions. DECIDING - making a choice. INTEGRITY IS THE FOUNDATION FOR EVERY RELATIONSHIP THAT WE"RE EVER GOING TO HAVE IN LIFE. Integrity has the power to build trust. Trust is what fuels a relationship. All good relationships stem and go back to a foundation of integrity. Being true to one's inner voice - even when "all" your friends 'say' and 'do' things that all of us know to be hurtful - to ourselves and others... there is nothing more difficult than not going with the flow....
