By Conor Crowley Zeus The story of Zeus Zeus's traits, strengths and weaknesses Morals Zeus's physical traits Cronus became father of gods by murdering his own father Uranus. Before his death Uranus said his prophesy to Cronus. "You murder me now and steal my thrown, but one of your sons with dethrone you, for crime begets crime." Cronus avoided his prophesy for a while by swallowing his children. His wife Rhea, however, hid one particular child. This child was Zeus. One day Rhea brought Zeus back to be the cup bearer. Cronus of course not recognizing Zeus, drank from the cup and then all the children swallowed were thrown up. The children and Zeus fought against Cronus and made him and his army flee. Zeus become the king of Gods. Zeus was a strong, heroic leader. He was very fatherly. He had multiple children. Zeus was known for protecting and saving others. Zeus had many strengths and one weakness. Some of his strengths were being very powerful, strong, charming and persuasive. His one weakness was being passionately fond of female charms. Many stories about Zeus recount his insatiable crave and notorious wandering eye, an eye that fell upon goddess and mortal women alike. The moral in the myth of Zeus is to not create enemies that do not need to be created. Zeus's father Cronus created enemies by swallowing his children in fear of being overthrown. In retaliation, when the children were released, they killed Cronus and Zeus became the ruler of gods. Zeus is extremely strong and tall. He has a curly white beard and shoulder length white hair.
