Transcript of Prezi + Security
Can I really co-edit and present online and still be secure?
All you need to know about how we look after your content
You can find more information about Amazon's security on their website: http://aws.amazon.com/security
Is my information secure while traveling from my computer to your system?
TLS means Transport Layer Security. It's a cryptographic protocol designed to make Internet communication secure. And we made sure that our users already have TLS enabled.
As we are using TLS, all your content is treated confidentially and can't be accessed by anybody else during the transmission.
But, what is TLS?
Your information is protected and you are the only one who has the right key to access it.
But, I can access my content anytime from anywhere, right?
To stay 100% offline, you can create a presentation using Prezi's offline application (only available for
You can create your prezi online at Prezi.com, and set it to Private. This way, you can choose who sees your prezi.
My prezi is in the cloud...
Is it possible that someone else can access my stored information?
NOTE: Some Prezi staff are able to access your presentation for support purposes. We track all our staff actions to make sure they comply to our security procedures.
Thanks to our authentication and authorization procedures, once the information is stored, nobody can access it but you.
Is my data backed up?
We keep Prezi data across multiple regions. This allows us to remain resilient in the face of things like natural disasters or system failures.
However, once you choose to delete a presentation, to protect your privacy we delete it from our systems and we can't get it back.
But where exactly does my data go?
Can my content get lost, corrupted, or accessed and even erased by third parties?
Amazon provides significant protection against traditional network security issues and Prezi performs further measures to avoid Distributed Denial Of Service (DDoS), Man In the Middle (MITM), IP Spoofing, or Port Scanning attacks.
Amazon's highly secure data centers utilize state-of-the art electronic surveillance and multi-factor access control systems. They're also staffed 24/7 by trained security guards.
Hi, I'm John.
I totally love Prezi, but I'm concerned about privacy and security...
When you upload any information to Prezi.com, it's saved to our servers in Dallas, Texas. We also use Amazon Web Services in parts of the US, and some regions of Europe.
Are my presentations private?
Anyone holding an
license can make any presentation 100% confidential. Only you and the people you designate can see your work.
That's a relief! But I'd like to know more about how it works.
Sure, no problem.
With the application it's possible to store all your prezis offline.
You can of course sync your presentation with your online storage space in the cloud at any time, but only when you decide.
Whether you are working from home, on a public Wi-Fi network, or from your office, your transmissions will be encrypted.
SSL is the Industry Data Security Standard for secure transmissions over the internet.
Using SSL is the equivalent of sending your information inside a tightly locked box that only the recipient has the key to unlock.
This means that even in the unlikely event of someone intercepting your information, it will remain safe.
When you edit your presentations online or synchronize from our desktop application, all your content is sent to our servers.
Yes, you can access and edit your presentations from any computer, you don't need to install anything as long as you have an internet connection.
If you're a
user, you can also edit offline after installing our desktop application, and then automatically sync changes with your online account once you have a connection.
In 2013, Prezi had an up time of 99.4%. We do not schedule any downtime for maintenance.
You decide who can co-edit with you or who you want to present to, so only the people you choose are able to edit or view your content.
