Transcript of Matched
Cassia is a 17 year old member of a dystopian society that chooses everyone's lives. Because she is 17, she is having her match banquet and surprisingly, she gets matched with her best friend, Xander.
After getting matched with Xander, her best friend, Cassia doesn't feel the need to check her microcard right away, because she knows almost everything about him, but when she does, Ky Markhams's face shows up instead. This conflict is never actually fully resolved.

Matched is a suspensful love story based on the premise of a futuristic love triangle.
"Is falling in love with someone's story the same as falling in love with the person themself? (Cassia Reyes)"
I know which life is my real one now, no matter what happens. It’s the one with you. For some reason, knowing that even one person knows my story makes things different. Maybe it’s like the poem says. Maybe this is my way of not going gentle.
I love you. (Ky Markham)”
This quote shows that Ky Markham will not go gentle. It shows rebellion from Cassia and Ky, against the government.
The theme of Matched is a more-than-basic love story. It also shows freedom and rebellion.
The novel, Matched made me feel like I was in the dystopian society as well as Cassia. It made me feel trapped and I soon fell in love with the characters. In my opinion, I saw a connection to real world situation when a person is judged for something that they didn't do and how Ky was an abberation when it was his dad that did something. I also saw the government not letting Ky and Cassia be together as a mother would not let her daughter date someone whom she didn't approve of.
