Transcript of A Criticism of PowerPoint Presentations

Why does PowerPoint make you a lazy presenter? A Criticism of PowerPoint Presentations 1. It throws information at you, leaving less for the presenter to say 2. Flow and Organization 3. You can't see the big picture and apply contextual thinking 4. Wasted space and
low quality in slide design Presenters rely on PowerPoints to explain their information directly
Viewers just read it instead of listening to the person giving the presentation Going back to previous points/slides is time consuming
Can't see the big picture: too linear - jumps from one point to the next
Disrupts organization by Arianna Wage, Andrew Pentz, and Anna Crawford
