Interpreting those stimuli (integrative) 3. Reacting to the stimuli (motor) Cranial Nerves & Spinal Nerves Somatic Nervous System Enteric Nervous System Voluntary Movements Involuntary Movements Involuntary Movements of the GI Tract Ion channels open and close until threshold value (-55mV) is reached Neurotransmitters are released into synapse between neurons Neurotransmitters bind to receptors on the postsynaptic neuron
