Transcript: Police brutality is the deliberate use of excessive force carried out during law enforcement activities, such as an arrest. This type of behavior includes verbal attacks and psychological intimidation, as well as excessive physical contact. It is one of several forms of police misconduct which includes, false arrest, racial profiling, political repression, surveillance abuse, sexual abuse and police corruption. The study described use of force as takedown or wrist lock; kicking or punching; striking with a blunt object; using a police dog, restraints or hobbling; or using tear gas, electric shock or killing.
