Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.

Transcript: Transplant Surgery.... By Nancy Harley and Lucy Boote What Is It? Transplant surgery is when an organ is removed from a living body. This is then placed in a cooling container and transported to a seriously ill patient. Some organs are transported many miles by ambulance, or even by helicopter, as the organ will start to deteriorate unless it is transplanted quickly. Early Transplantation Attempt's.... Surgeons have been experimenting with transplantation techniques for many years. Alexis Carrel came up with a method to transplant organs as early as 1908, but many of his experiments failed as organs transplanted from one animal to another were eventually rejected. New Drugs.... The first successful transplant - of a kidney - occurred in 1953. The organ was not rejected because donor and recipient were identical twins and therefore genetically identical. However, new drugs were developed to lessen the problem of rejection. Combinations of drugs are now used to prevent rejection in transplant patients. Different Views.... Christian View.... Sacrifice and helping others are key themes across all forms of Christianity, and therefore a decision to donate organs is seen as a positive thing. Christians should be encouraged to help others in need. They look upon organ donation as an act of love, and a way of following Jesus' example. All mainstream Protestant denominations support organ donation, whether they see it as an individual choice motivated by compassion, or encourage it as an act of charity. The Vatican strongly supports organ donation. Pope John Paul II, in an address to the participants of the Society for Organ Sharing, said: With the advent of organ transplantation, which began with blood transfusion, man has found a way to give of himself, of his blood and of his body, so that others may continue to live. Buddhist Views.... Buddhists believe that in the sanity of life all life is precious. This means that saving someones life is the most important thing. They believe in reincarnation and that it is very difficult to be re-Born as a human. On the other hand a Buddhist may think that taking the organs of an animal is wrong because it is taking a life.

Physician Assisted Death not proper to call it physician assisted suicide Physician Assisted Death "To qualify under Death with Dignity statutes, you must be an adult resident of a state where such a law is in effect (CA,CO,OR,VT,WA); mentally competent, i.e. capable of making and communicating your healthcare decisions; and diagnosed with a terminal illness that will lead to death within six months as confirmed by two physicians. The process entails two oral requests, one written request, waiting periods, and other requirements." https://www.deathwithdignity.org/faqs/ Death with Dignity You can self administer where ever you choose. The law requires your doctor to tell you to not do it in a public place. 95% take it at home. Where Can I take the medication? Phenobarbital/chloral hydrate/morphine sulfate mixture costs about $450-$500. An alternative consisting of morphine sulfate, propanolol, diazepam and digoxin and a buffer suspenion costs about $600. 1 in 3 people never take the med but knowing they have this as an option gives them comfort. 9/10 of all patients are enrolled in hospice. Kantanism is against this because Kant would say to tough out the dying process naturally is more important than ending it at will. Utilitarianism would be in favor of this because it ends the suffering of the person and the choice to end life is the greatest happiness for the greatest number. Utilitarianism believes in the pursuit of happiness. What would you do if faced with a terminal illness, live and suffer and have your family suffer watching you deteriorate or pass peacefully with those you want around you preparing them for your death before you make the decision of the day to end your life? https://www.deathwithdignity.org/faqs

Transcript: Why are they important? The Case of Baby K Introduction Medical Ethics are a system of moral principles that apply values and judgments to the practice of medicine Ethical Issue 2: Mercy Killing An elderly woman with a degree of dementia suffers an acute life threatening illness Should she be treated in hospital with all the drugs and technology or kept at home, comfortable. The Family can not decide Ethical Issue 1 A driver is trapped in a blazing lorry. He can not be saved and will soon burn to death. A friend is standing by the lorry, with a gun and has a good shot. The driver asks the friend to kill him. It would be less painful Without considering the Legal Issues - Should the friend shoot the driver Medical Ethics Ranges from the practical issues (e.g. cloning) to general medical practice A doctor's life is full of ethical tensions The Ethics... Should religion interfere with medicine? Was the court right to take the baby off of life support? Any Questions? Modern medical science creates new moral choices, and challenges traditional views that we have of ourselves However... ... It is also an important part of interviews for university Baby K was an anencephalic baby. The mother was advised to terminate the pregnancy following an ultrasound, however as a devout Christian refused. A do not resuscitate order was introduced, mother refused. Baby K remained on ventilator support with no other hospital wanting to accept her. Court ruling decided to stop the ventilation.

Transcript: Organ harvesting refers to the practice of removing usable organs from someone who is dead so that they can be transplanted into someone else. There is some dispute over the proper term for this procedure, since it involves delicate ethical and personal issues for many individuals. Some people may prefer the term "organ donation," which indicates that the organs were willingly surrendered to benefit other people. Animal rights are exactly what the title says - those rights that belong to animals. Just as humans have rights to healthy, safe lives, so to do animals. But animals have other worries as well. Many humans feel that animals are their property and treat them with little respect or with downright cruelty. Euthanasia is the act of deliberately assisting or encouraging another person to kill themselves. If a relative of a person with a terminal illness were to obtain powerful sedatives, knowing that the person intended to take an overdose of sedatives to kill themselves, they may be considered to be assisting suicide. THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!!! Organ Donation Abortion By Zeshaan, Adib and Michael Medical ethics is trying to do the right thing while achieving the best possible outcome for every patient. Principles and theories in medical ethics apply to just about every problem or situation. An abortion is when the pregnancy is ended so that it does not result in the birth of a child. Sometimes this is called 'termination of pregnancy'. The pregnancy is removed from the womb, either by taking pills (medical abortion) which involves taking medicines to cause a miscarriage or by surgery (surgical abortion) where the pregnancy is removed from the womb. Most abortions can be provided on a day care basis which means you do not need to stay at a clinic overnight. Every year almost 12,000 teenagers have abortions a year What Is Medical Ethics? Human Cloning Medical Ethics Animal Rights Euthanasia Human cloning is a form of cloning which is designed to result in a copy of a human being or a human body part. There are a number of ethical and religious issues surrounding cloning, and many nations have specifically banned it, discouraging research into procedures which are designed to result in cloned humans. With reproductive human cloning, a copy of a human being would be produced. This practice has been deemed controversial in many parts of the world, as there is a great deal of ethical unease about creating cloned humans. Many major religions have spoken out firmly against human cloning, arguing that it interferes with the natural processes of nature, and could be construed as a form of playing God.
