Transcript: AeroSpace Engineering Aerspace Engineering requires a bachelors degree. The degree will take about 5 years and if you want to become an Aerospace engineer then math and science are key subjects. At that point, the average engineer earns a yearly salary of $79,000 and $135,000 for a highly paid engineer. Federal agents earn $81,830 and architects earn about $74,890. Photo based on: 'horizon' by pierreyves @ flickr Some top companies to work for as an Aerospace engineer include NASA, CorpTech, Boeing, Honeyhead International, Lockheed MArtin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon A couple of colleges to apply to for aerospace engineering include Air Force Institute of Technology, Arizona State University, George Washington University, Iowa State University, Mississippi State University, North Carolina State University, and Ohio State University. Aerospace engineers design and build commercial and military airplanes. They also design different kinds of machines, build the, and test to make sure they can do what they are supposed to. The designs have to be very exact and have to be able to solve all kinds of problems before the airplane is built. They need to figure out what equiptment that the aircraft needs, but also what materials it will use, how much the equiptment weighs and exactly how much space it will take up in the aircraft.
Transcript: Aerospace Engineering Aerospace Engineering is the main brach of engineering behind the design, construction and science of aircraft/spacecraft. This job is broken into 2 branches. Aeronautical: craft that stays within Earth's Atmosphere. Astronautical: craft that operates outside of Earth's atmosphere. The job that I am quite interested in is... Astronautcial Engineering. Astonautical Engineering takes many courses to becoming one of the fine individuals that participate in the construction of Space Crafts. You'll need to take and focus hard on classes with... Engineering Physics Calculus Advanced Geometry Computer Programs Speech/ Writing Classes (to help express your ideas more freely) Once you've taken these classes, some of the colleges you may be interested in are as follows... Georgia Institute of Technology Located in Atlanta, Goergia 10,000 per semester The second college might be... Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) located just outside of Boston. The pay for each semester 15,000 a more costly option. One much closer to home is, University of Michigan. It cost well over 15,000 per semester. However, crew from Apollo 15 and Gemini 4 are graduates of the University of Michigan. After you graduate you can become an Astronautical engineer right away. Bachelors Degree: $ 40,000-50,000 Masters Degree: $ 45,000-55,000 Docotorate: $ 50,000-60,000 Depending on Expierience & Senority: $ 75,000-150,000 The reason I chose this career was because I was really influenced by the movie Galactica. I saw how Vincent was determined to reach his goals one way or another. Also I thought being able to see one of your own pieces of art lift off into space and safely carry people back home. If you like Space Shuttles, Space, or even planes, this may be the job for you. It's a great way for you to explore your talents, or even create the next new cutting-edge design in Engineering. I hope this presentation enlightend you a little about the field of Aerospace Engineering. It's a very interesting job, and I would deffinetly look to it as I job I would under go as I go on in life. Thankyou for Watching! FIN
