Transcript: This book is filled with self-text connections. And I'm not the only one who thinks so. Various readers have emailed, called, or have written letters about something in the novel they can identify or relate with. "Bad things always catch up with you" I chose this quote because its pretty much the moral of the story. This quote also partcially explains the story too.!! "Black and White" have each other's backs both on and off the basketball court. And senior dues are coming up soon, but when Nike comes out with a new pair of shoes , they make a lousy decision that can't be fixed .So will they continue to have each other's back as always or will one stab the other in the back? Thanks! -ALA best book for young adults -ALA quick pick top ten -Winner of the IRA children's book award (young adult fiction -A new york public library book for the teen age What I found interesting about this book is that he didn't make the story from scratch he took bits and pieces from his real life and fit it into the story. Another interesting fact that may change your opinion is that it is written from both black and white point of views, so this way you can understand more about the feelings and situation. As they were driving, it illustrated them driving through the beach and people having fun. What is the significance of this scene in terms of identity and Diouanna’s perspective of France?
