Transcript: My Teaching Journey Competency 4 - The teacher understands learning processes and factors that impact student learning Domain V Competency 11 - The teacher understands the importance of family and interacts appropriately and effectively with families Domain II Domain IV The teacher evaluates how Christian principles can appropriately inform professional development and practice Competency 5 - The teacher establishes an emotionally and physically safe classroom climate Competency 8 - The teacher provides appropriate instruction that actively engages student in the learning process Another frustration about David’s past was how the school and the society responded to David. The school knew he was a food thief but never bothered to ask him why he stole the food. I cannot understand how a school could not come up with the conclusion that he was hungry, especially when it became routine. At the time, the school probably did not know how to handle a child like David, who smelled and stole from other children. In the book, it would seem that the teachers either ignored the problem or disciplined the problem when they did not want to deal with the situation. David was dubbed as a problem to the school and was dealt with accordingly. The teachers at ACS, in comparison to Jim Ned, showed a respect and a love for the students. The teachers truly did care about the students and worked hard to see that they all succeeded. While some of the teachers that I observed at Jim Ned showed love for their students, the majority treated teaching as a business job rather than an instructing position. Proverbs 22:6 “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Domain I Domain III

We believe communities are only as strong as the values that bond them. We reject the standard that in a community of one hundred, ten do the really innovative work. We are the ten. We believe values and culture fundamentally transform the behaviors and actions of a community. We wage war against the status quo by continuously improving the Kynetx platform and the growing number of apps. To this end, we have identified our cultural values necessary to become part of the ten. Democratize the Evolution. ‘The ability for anyone to use the Internet to create and sell applications is the next computing paradigm.’ Beyond the economic and entrepreneurial appeal of the App, we want to drive the evolution of the Web. We focus on fostering mutual success among our community of developers to create innovators and evangelists. Break the Rules. Rules are about conservatism, risk management, and reducing personal liability. We’re risk takers. We believe in results. We do what’s necessary to achieve genuine results. We’re careful to uphold personal honesty and integrity during this process. Breaking the rules does not mean unlawful or reckless behavior. Engage. Engagement and personal accountability are paramount to building community. We expect active participation in discussions, problem solving, brainstorming, and solutions development. Have integrity by doing what you say and saying what you do. Be Agile. We are fast paced and flexible. We’re able to keep up with the dynamic needs developers because we listen to the community. If Kynetx has a bad idea, or you have a good one, tell the group. Innovation and creativity are all we have, each are maximized through flexibility and cooperation. Listen, then Innovate. We believe crowd sourcing drives technological evolution. Kynetx provides developers both a platform and a community. We will listen to each other. We will elevate and implement the best ideas. We will evolve by intelligent reaction. Be Transparent. We are transparent in all of our dealings. We tell the truth. We tell it all. We tell it like it is. We share our discoveries, share our thoughts, and share good news as well as bad. Have Belief and Faith. We believe. We believe in ourselves, our community, our combined abilities, our products, our vision, our companies, our partners, our customers, and most importantly in abundance. We have faith sufficient to understand when belief may appear impossible, there will come a day where it won’t. © 2006-2009 by Stephen W.
