Gunpowder Tom Kuhns It was invented by the Chinese Invented in 9th century by Chinese alchemests The first guns were invented about 300 years later Early handgun Started the evolution of warfare It spread to other nations due to the Silk Road trade route Route started in China and ended in Eastern Europe After the first guns were made, gunpowder was
used for explosives and in canons Warfare continued to evolve. Weapons continued to get more complex. Early canons Gunpowder was eventually replaced by other
chemicals in the 19th century Nitroglycerin was used as a substitute. It had great results Nitrocellulose was also used Had it not been for gunpowder, warfare would not have
evolved as it had Our weaponry would not be nearly as advanced as it is now Guns may still exist, but they would not be nearly as advanced First used in fireworks
