The more popular sports in ancient Greece were

mainly played by the wealthy
It was played by one man in a chariot pulled by horses the winner was the one that crossed the finish line first
running was the beginning of the olympics it was the first sport to be played in the olympics
there would be a hand full of runners and the first one to cross the finish line would win
There was also running long jump which was played by running and than jumping as far as you can into a pile of sand
the winner was the athlete that could jump the farthest
