Transcript of Cell Analogy: Bikini Bottom

Welcome to Bikini Bottom! King Neptune is similar to the Nucleus in the way that he controls the whole ocean, just like the Nucleus controls the cell! The nuclear membrane controls what goes in and out of the nucleus, just like King Neptune's scales control what goes in and out of his body Goo Lagoon's coast guard acts like the cell membrane; he controls who can go in and out of the lagoon, just like the cellular membrane controls what goes in and out of the cell HGJFG GF Cytoplasm is the gel-like fluid where the organelles are found. I compare this to the water in Bikini Bottom, because everything is underwater The roads in Bikini Bottom, such as Conch Street or Coral Avenue... are like the Endoplasmic Reticulum. They both act as passageways that transport different things to other parts of a cell or in this case, other parts of Bikini Bottom Golgi Bodies receive proteins and materials from the ER, packages them, and redistributes them. That reminds me of the Bikini Bottom Post Office, which receives our mail and gifts, packages them, and sends them where they need to go The Krusty Krab supplies the energy the town of Bikini Bottom needs to function; the citizens would be lost without Krabby Patties! This reminds me of the Mitochondria which produces the energy a cell needs to carry out its functions. The Krusty Krab supplies the energy Bikini Bottom needs to function; the citizens would go mad without it! This reminds me of the Mitochondria, which produces the energy a cell needs to carry out its functions. Another comparison to the Mitochondria might be the Bikini Bottom Power Plant! The Lysosomes use chemicals to break down food and worn out cell parts much like the Bikini Bottom Junkyard; that is where all the old cars and garbage is crushed! Vacuoles store food, waste, and other materials which is like the Bikini Bottom Freezer. The freezer stores frozen foods and whatever needs to stay cold! Spongebob makes Krabby Patties for the citizens of Bikini Bottom, much like the Ribosomes; they make proteins! The Nucleolus is like the Mayor of Bikini Bottom because he makes money, just like the nucleolus that makes ribosomes! The mermalair is like the chromatin because it has everything that Bikini Bottom needs in order to run safely and orderly. The chromatin contains the instructions for directing the cell's functions! I hope you enjoyed my cell analogy! Now enjoy these entertaining pictures of Spongebob!(:
