Aristarchus, was the first to suggest
that the sun was just a big burning rock in 450BC but, others for all time have seen the sun but thought of it as a god in the sky! The sun has been believed to had been here before earth was here!
Sun came from "sol" in ancient Romans! It comes from the sun god! In ancient greece they also called Helios!
