Theme Motif etc.:Motif(social conflict)
Love Story, Taylor Swift

Relevant lyrics from the song:
It's the eye of the tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge
Of our rival(Survivor)
Quote from R+J that connects to lyrics:
"But if you do,sir, I am for you.I serve as good a man as you"(I.i.49-50).
Quote from R+J:
"Alack there lies more peril in thine eye. Than twenty of them swords! Look thou proof against their enemy" (II.II.75-78).
It is a theme because Juliet will do anything to marry Romeo. The song relates to the quote by how Juliet will be waiting for Romeo for him and she just has to say yes when Romeo is going to ask Juliet to marry Juliet.
The lyric is an example because it could be used multiple times throughout the play. Fighting is an example of the motif social conflict. The song explains how to stand up to a foe if they wish to fight. And in R+J the Caps. & Monts. are constantly fighting with each other
Song:Never knew I needed, Ne-Yo
Theme Motif etc: Motif(Rejection of the Suitor)
Say Goodbye, Chris Brown
For the way you changed my plans
For being the perfect distraction
Quote from R+J:
"With Rosaline, my ghostly father?
No I have forgot that name and that
It shows the rejection of the suitor by telling us how Romeo forgot Rosaline, after he had seen Juliet and it changed his plan for the night. Which brought me to the song with the singer saying how she had changed his plans when he met her. Also,
Juliet distracted Romeo from Rosaline with her beauty which made him fall in love with her.
Quote from R+J:
" O' God, I have an I'll divining soul" (III.V.53)!
This is an hyperbole because it explains how Juliet was exaggerating on dying. Also she is exaggerating cause she will never see Romeo again cause he got banished for killing Tybalt
Maybe I should cry for help. Maybe I should kill myself.
"Of Tybalt death to peace, but that he tilts with peircing steel at bold Mercutios breast (III.i.162-165).
In the song the artist is going in to detail of his probelm saying. "Maybe I should kill myself. And in the book Benvolio is telling Lord Capulet what happens.
I'll Fight for You, Jason Derulo
Motif- Agong of the love
It's gonna take some time but I know you're worth fighing for.
" Par is: I do defy thy conjuration and apprend thee for a felon her.
Romeo: Wilt thou provale me? Then have at thee boy" (III.iii.68-70)!
The song shows the struggle for love one will go through. Also Paris is trying to protect Juliet and died while doing it. Which shows the agony he goes through for Juliet. Also, how Romeo dies for his love, Juliet.
"J-A cue, clos'd in my true love's
hand? Poison, I see, hath been his timeless end. O churl! Drunk all and left no friendly drop to help me after"(101 166-170).
It is an example of violence connecting to love because since Juliet and Romeo love each other so much, they commit suicide. Which means that they will see each other in the after life and that is where the song connects. Also, it is an example because it shows how fast Juliet reacted to Romeo's death trying to take her own.
"Shall, Stiff, and stark and cold , appear like death, And in this borrowed likness of shrunk death
In the quote Friar Lawrence is explaining t juliet how the
