Encourages Equality
Is this feminism?
Encourages Equality
Quote: "Gender as it functions today is a grave injustice. I am angry. We should all be angry. But I was unapologetic. Anger has a long history of bringing about positive change. In addition to anger, I'm also hopeful, because I believe deeply in the ability of human beings to remake themselves for the better"
Encourages Equality
Quote: "As in most big cities, finding parking in the evenings can be difficult, so these young men make a business out of finding parking spots. was impressed with the particular theatrics of the man who found us a parking spot that evening. And so as we were leaving, I decided to give him a tip. I opened my bag, put my hand inside my bag to get my money, and I gave it to the man. And he, this man who was happy and grateful, took the money from me, and then looked across at Louis and said, "Thank you, sah!""

Quote: " We say to girls: You can have ambition, but not too much. You should aim to be successful but not too successful, otherwise you will threaten the man."

Quote: "The word feminist is heavy with negative baggage: You hate men, you hate bras, you hate African culture, you think women should always be in charge, you don't wear makeup, you don't shave, you're always angry, you don't have a sense of humor, you don't use deodorant..."
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
I took this picture because men usually have misconceptions about what the word feminism means and because of that they don't support it. However men who do support it are considered "heroic" and "rare" and it shouldn't be like that.
Quote: " A man is as likely as a woman to be
intelligent, innovative, creative. We have evolved. But our ideas of gender have not evolved very much."
I decided to take a picture like this because as i said in the previous slide, men think that feminism is "woman ruling the world"
and it's completely untrue and even the dictionary definition is that feminism is the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic
to men.
From prudes who hate public breastfeeding to cowards who want to confine them to porn sites, society has a problem with women showing their bare breasts. Nipples are such a harmless, inoffensive body part and they are so similar whether they’re male or female, so why should guys be allowed to express themselves freely and be acceptably topless in public and on social media when we aren’t?
The meaning of this quote is that the man believed that whatever money she had ultimately came from Louis because Louis is a man. So in a literal way, men rule the world. This made sense a thousand years ago because human beings lived then in a world in which physical strength was the most important attribute for survival. Today we live in a vastly different world.
What if boys and girls were raised not to link masculinity and money? What if their attitude was not "the boy has to pay," but rather "who ever has more should pay." If we start raising children differently, then in fifty years, boys will no longer have the pressure of proving their masculinity by material means.
