Some historians believe that these three sons of Nuh would have children and no one else on the ark would have children.
Surat us Saffat verse 77 says “We made his Offspring the lasting ones "which means that Allah made the children of Prophet Nuh the ones from whom the rest of the people come until our days.
Imam Ahmad reported that Samurah ibn jundub narrated that the Prophet said ,”Sam is the forefather of the Arabs , Ham is the forefather of the Abyssinians and Yafith is the forefather of the first Romans(Greeks)

3.That worship Allah, and fear Him, and obey Me.

4.He will forgive some of your sins and grant you respite till an appointed time. Undoubtedly, the promise ofAllah cannot be deferred when it comes. Any how you would have known.

5.He submitted, O my Lord, I have called my people night and day.

6.But my calling has only increased them in fleeing away.

7.And every time I called them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, coveredthemselves with their garments, and persisted and waxed great proud.

8.Then I called them openly.

9.Then I spoke to them publicly and spoke to them in secret too.

10.And I said, 'beg forgiveness of your Lord, He is Most Forgiving.
11.He will send down upon you rain in torrents.
12.And He will help you with wealth and children and will make for you gardens and will make for you streams.
13.What happened to you? that you hope not to achieve honour from Allah.
14.While He has made you in diverse stages.
15.Do you not see that Allah has made seven heavens one upon another?
16.And He illuminated therein the moon and has made the sun as a lamp.
17.And Allah has caused you to grow from the earth like vegetation.
18.Then He will cause you to return there to and will bring you forth for the next time.
19.And Allah has made the earth for you as a bed spreading.
20.That you may walk through its wide ways.
Thousands of years ago, after the death of Prophets Adam, Seeth(Seth) and Idrees (Enoch), people started to dev from the straight path of earlier prophets. There were five pious people who had died whose names are cited in Surat Nuh; Wadd, Suwaa', Yaghuth, Ya'uq, and Nasr. Some ignorant and devaited leaders thought to build statues to commemorate these five men.
21.Nuh said, 'O my Lord! they disobeyed me and followed such one whose wealth and children have only added tohis losses.
22.And they have plotted a tremendous plot.
23.And they said, 'never leave your gods and leave not Wadd nor Suwa nor Yaghuth and Yauq and Nasr'. (idols ofpagan Arabs)
24.And undoubtedly, they have led many astray; so increase You not the unjust but in error.
25.And because of their wrong doings, they were drowned, then made to enter the Fire. Then they found not forthemselves any helpers against Allah.
26.And Nuh submitted, 'O my Lord leave not of the infidels any inhabitant upon the earth'.
27.Undoubtedly, if You would allow them to live, they will lead astray Your bondmen and they will beget none butan evil doer, an ungrateful.
28.'O my Lord! forgive me and my parents and him who is in my house as a believer and all believing men and allbelieving women'.

In Surah Nuh, Allah says that He sent Prophet Nuh (A.S) to his people and ordered him to warn them to return to Islam and leave out the disbelief they succumbed to, before a severe torture would suddenly befall them.
Prophet Nuh was the son of Lamak, the son of Mattushalakh, the son of Enoch who was Prophet Idrees (A.S). The time span between Prophets Idrees and Nuh was estimated at one thousand years, which was the first era of ignorance and idol worshipping. These years witnessed the first Kufr, or act of disbelief, which was committed and spread among humans. Prophet Nuh was the first messenger that God sent to rectify what the disbelievers did.

HADEETH!
In one Hadeeth, Prophet Muhammad said: “The first prophet sent as a messenger was Nuh.”

People during the time of Adam, Seth and Enoch, had committed sins but not disbelief (Kufr) nor worshipping others with Allah (Shirk). These prophets dealt generally with Muslims; therefore Prophet Nuh was the first messenger sent to the disbelievers. Prophet Adam then was the first prophet, and Prophet Nuh was the first messenger chosen by Allah to deliver the message of Islam to his people at that time.

the mission of prophet Nuh was not simple.
People of that time used to live for centuries, Prophet Nuh stayed among the people for one thousand years less fifty, according to the Quran.
Throughout centuries Prophet Nuh called his people to faith and morality with little success.
According to Surat Nuh ,this great prophet told his people:
“worship God {alone} and be conscious of Him; obey me. God will forgive your sins and will grant you forgiveness till an appointed time. When the time appointed by God arrives, it cannot be postponed, if you only knew.”

Prophet Nuh preached day and night calling people back to Islam. Most did not respond his call, and didn't come back to Islam.
Prophet Nuh’s people developed extreme hatred for him and few followers only around eighty people ,according to some reports.
The disbelievers escalated their animosity {strong hostility} and harsh treatment towards the believers and scare them away from Prophet Nuh.
The Believers stood faithfully and bravely by their prophet and challenged the arrogant majority.

Although prophet Nuh had told the people that he is the only messenger who conveys God’s message to them, they were overly sarcastic and aggressive.
Some reports say that they even plotted to kill Prophet Nuh and his followers.

When Prophet Nuh realized for sure that the arrogant disbelievers would not belive,he asked God not to leave any of them on earth.
“they will deviate your servants , and will not raise except other wicked disbelievers", he said to God.
Allah responded and reveled that he would drown all the disbelievers in a great flood.
Allah ordered Prophet Nuh to built an ark in his water less land!

With complete faith and trust in Allah, he gathered the wood and started to build the historic ark.
People started to mock Prophet Nuh for making an ark on dry land, away from water.
God ordered Prophet Nuh to load the ark upon seeing sign from him.

Faith in action
Always Obey your parents, especially when they order you to obey Allah and His Prophet

The passing of Prophet Nuh
When Prophet Nuh was about to die two angels came to him and said, "How did it feel to spend so many years on Earth? "Prophet Nuh expressed his amazement of how quick his life went on by replying "I saw this life on earth like a house with two doors. I entered into that life from one door and I left through the other”
Prophet Nuh was a thankful servant of Allah as he was describe in Surat ul Israa When prophet Nuh ate, drank ,dressed or rode an animal he would say “Al Hamdulillah”(Praise and thanks to Allah)

The Offspring of Prophet Nuh
Imam Saeed Ibn ul Musayyib said that the three sons of Nuh(SAWS) gave birth to three. Sam gave birth to the Arabs , Persians and Romans.Yafith gave birth to the Turks, Sicilians and Gog and Magog .Ham gave birth to the Copts of Egypt , Sudanese and the Berbers(of North Africa)
Imam Ahmad and others reported that Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet passed a group of Jews They had fasted on the 10th of Muharram. The Prophet asked ,”Why are you fasting on this day? "They said this was the day that Allah rescued Prophet Musa(SAWS) and the children of Israel from Pharoah who drowned that day.it was the day the ark landed on Mt.Judiyy.Nuh and Musa fasted that day to be thankful. The Prophet said ,Í am the one to fast that day". He told the followers to fast on 10th of Muharram to be thankful. He said,”Musa is ours and we will fast it.”The Prophet fasted out of thankfulness each year, commemorating that date.

Shaytan had encouraged idol worshiping to make humanity devaite away from Allah.
A generatio or twoafter, the majority of people shifted to worship the statues instead of Allah.
The logic of idol worshiping was that these idols represent great pious people who were bringing closer to God and their idols eill continue to do so.
There was no prophet at that time among the people. This was a major act of shirk since 1000 years after prophet Adam died.
