Habitat loss as countless animals are losing their lives to humans building homes in the animals habitats.
Deforestation as thousands of trees are cut down down every hour throughout the world

The deciduous forest is full of fertile
The beech tree,
Trees shed their leaves on the ground
Nutrients in the leaves are absorbed by the soil
Soil becomes fertile
Why is the deciduous forest so fertile?
Migration: 60 to 70 % of birds migrate to the tropics when the weather becomes cold
Hibernation: many mammals hibernate in the winter when the food is limited
Food storage: squirrels, chipmunks and jays store nuts and seeds in their homes to feed them throughout the winter
Have thick bark to protect against the cold winter
Make thin light leaves that capture a lot of sunlight to feed themselves
Shed their leaves as to minimize the amount of water that they lose
Mammals, birds, insects and reptiles
are all types of animals found in this biome
