A Fractal is a curve, or geometric shape. Each has the same statistical character together. Fractals are used in modeling structures such as snowflakes. What is unique about fractals, is that they have alike patterns that recur in random or chaotic phenomena like galaxy formation and crystal growth.

The Koch snowflake (AKA Koch star/island) is a mathematical curve, and one of the first untimely fractal curves recounted.
The Koch snowflake, is seen of course, in snowflakes. If you go outside while it is snowing, and watch the snowflakes fall on your jacket, when you look very closely you can see many unique patterns applied to each snowflake.

The Koch snowflake, can go on and on and every time you looked at a part of the shape, it would look exactly the same as the entire figure itself, minus the scale. For example, take an equilateral triangle, then put two more triangles on two sides of it. Then keep going and going. That is a fractal, and it looks exactly the same as the beginning figure.
