Reports that those who ate beef, lamb, or pork every day had a 13 percent increased risk of death compared to those who ate little to no meat.
Processed meats has an increased risk of up 20 percent.
Consuming red and processed meat increases a person’s risk for colorectal cancer by 20% to 30%. And interestingly enough, more than half of colorectal cancer cases occur in developed countries, where red meat tends to be a big part of the die

Over the years metabolism can drastically drop. Finding foods high in vitamin B12 will help boost the metabolism. Red meat is a great source of Vitamin B12

It is no secret that the meat industry's procedures are not humane; which to many it is big reason to not eat meat.
Bottom Line
My balance has proven that red meat has more cons than pros. However this doesn't mean it should be completely removed from your diet.
Why Now?
The meat industry has changed meat forever since the 1950's.
The diet provided to cows in today's modern day is usually dry food as well as recycled animal proteins and fats. In addition to antibiotics and hormones.

Antibiotics
Unfortunately, Antibiotics are not used to treat illnesses in the cattle. It is mostly used in unregulated doses because it fast tracks the growth cycles.
