James Watt 1775 James Watt manufactured the first reliable steam engine which became viable information which helped the start of the industrial age or industrial revolution. Eli Whitney 1793-1798 The cotton gin was an innovation to previous centuries however on march 14 1794 the cotton gin machinery was invented. The cotton gin was a machine that removed cotton from the seed which then lead to arguments for the continuation of slavery and also lead to a massive growth of cotton production in America. Samuel F.B. Morse 1836 Elias Howe 1844 The first functional sewing machine was developed by Elias Howe in 1844 by using needle and threading the needle through a hole creating up and down motions this was known as a lock stitch, however the society was fearful people were going to become unemployed to this machinery leading to be unmarketable for nine year. This machinery lead to a mass production of sewing and clothing. On march 10 1876 the telephone was created and the death of the telegraph was in place.
