Research Problem Analysis

New sciences, like the ethnography of the communication and the linguistics textual, mention that songs have become a true talkative gender that puts at stake, according to Nicosia, an entire series of components that change and they revalue its use in the field of teaching foreign languages.
Background of Music and Pedagogy.

The contemporary music enters in the contemporary music pedagogy by the middle of the sixtieth decade, mainly with the publications and contributions of George Self and Brian Dennis in England, Lili Friedemann in Germany, Folke Rabe and Jan Bark in Sweden, and the Contemporary Musical Project in the United States..

Musical aspects of the Twentieth Century

Musical aspects that have influenced in the pedagogy in the 20th century have been those that present a more sensorial and more direct character, those that arise through a deepen sound, that is to say in the music own material, to express it through the language.

PROBLEMATIC SITUATION

Recent researches in the field of foreign languages teaching have pointed out that the motivation and the students' interest are among the most important factors to learn a foreign language. There are several means to improve the effectiveness of teaching and to increase the interest and the students' motivation.

Research Question

Does the use of English songs as a didactic resource contribute for the development of linguistic abilities in students of Instituto Nacional Joaquin Ernesto Cardenas?

OBJECTIVES

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

To investigate the use of music as setting methodology for the development of listening ability in the students of Instituto Nacional Joaquin Ernesto Cardenas San Miguel City.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:


 To identify the development of listening through the use of songs.
 To determinate the development of English learning through the use of songs.
 To show the development of auditive comprehension through the use of songs.

HYPOTHESES
OVERALL HYPOTHESIS


The practices of English songs are related to the development of linguistic abilities in the students of Instituto Nacional Joaquin Ernesto Cardenas in San Miguel City.

SPECIFIC HYPOTHESES

The uses of songs as a didactic resource for teaching English language contribute to develop the reading ability in students of Instituto Nacional Joaquin Ernesto Cardenas in San Miguel City.



Population

Due to the nature of the research, population, was selected by the group of interest, they let researchers to obtain information in relation to the use of songs as a didactic resource for the development of the linguistic abilities in students of Instituto Nacional Joaquin Ernesto Cardenas in San Miguel City which are under their responsibility.

CONCLUSIONS:

According to the students and teachers surveyed, and project result. It can be concluding that:

A high percentage of students love English class when teachers use songs as a didactic resource in teaching learning process.
Students were motivated in learning English language through songs.

CONCLUSIONS:

Students acquire more vocabulary in an easy way by songs.

Students focus attention on a very motivated class.

Teachers agree using helpful resource to improve the acquisition of English language.

RECOMMENDATIONS
To the Teachers:

In regard to any methodology to develop an English class, Teachers should focus their attention in how involve students to get more knowledge about a foreign language.


To the Students:

. Students should focus their attention to develop linguistics aspects that let them get involve into a conversation.

. Student should develop learning strategies to assess their own knowledge.

. Students should work based on their capacity, like getting book to read, making exercises, which contribute to develop and examine what is doing, this activities provides frequent opportunity for oral practice. All students are encouraged to use what they have learned.

It is not casual that the Anglo-Saxon glottodidactic has been interested in the use of songs in the teaching of languages, and also the Virtual center of Cervantes; in the remote didactic, it has put in the net some didactic suggestions that have been good as methodological strategies for using songs in English language teaching.
Research Problem Analysis
A high number of musical educators in different countries of Europe and America that proposed diverse and interesting formulas to integrate the principles, materials and techniques introduced from the music of this century - mainly, the different investigation lines and later manipulation of sound to the dodecaphonism of the School of Vienna - in all the levels and forms of the musical teaching
Background of Music and Pedagogy.
Among these aspects we can mention: the concrete music and electroacoustic, the improvisation and the musical theater, the new graphs, the sound shop, the instruments and the electronic devices, the exotic instruments, the invented instruments, the objects sound, the performing of traditional instruments in a non-conventional way.

In regard to the stratum of the students who make a total of 1970, the investigation cannot be carried out as a whole universe; for that reason, the selection was carry out through an aleatory sample Method, mainly for the economic resources and lack of time on the part of the researchers.
Teachers should develop
activities related to the use of songs which lead to a high motivation because of the meaning of each lyric, but , also take some training about musical pedagogy that contribute to develop any of linguistics abilities.
