CBT's earn the highest salaries in the eastern states
Mississippi offers highest average salary of $52,000 despite lower figures in surrounding states.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree is first step toward becoming CBT
Minimum of Master's degree in mental health or medical related field
Required to have a license to practice
Advised to apply for state licensure after obtaining Master's degree.
Possibly work under a supervisor for a certain amount of time

Need special training in the field before they are eligible to apply for certification.
