Shipping Environment
Is the United Nations specialized agency responsible for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution from ships; its main role is to create a fair and effective regulatory framework for the shipping industry, , universally adopted and implemented.
The Charterers
Persons or firms who enter into a contract with a shipowner for the transportation of cargo or passengers during a stipulated period.
The Shipowner and Share Holders "Shipping Company"
A shipowner is someone who equips and exploits a ship, usually for delivering cargo at a certain freight rate
The Vessel
Population ports and their representatives
Includes the total number of persons inhabiting or working in a port. The ports are often most dominated by shipping and trade, but frequently cannot be separated, statistically, from the rural registration districts in which they lie.
Advisors or Consultants
The advisors and consultants are independent professionals that work with maritime companies to provide a unique global perspective, strong regional knowledge and access to a wealth of relationships that enhance their abilities to invest in the maritime market or in anything related on the maritime field.
Maritime Operators
They can provide warfare, dock, warehouse, or other marine terminal facilities to ocean common carriers moving cargo in the ocean-borne
Maritime Universities
The Government and Intergovernmental Bodies such as: INMARSAT, ILO, BIMCO, UNCTAD, ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) and its designs regarding INCOTERMS, etc.
Blue collar workers unions
It is a trade union for workers who do manual work. These would include people working in areas like mining, building, mechanical work, maintenance, repairs of technical equipment, etc.
Clients and buyers
A client, buyer, or purchaser is the recipient of a good, service, product, or idea, obtained from a seller, vendor, or supplier for a monetary or other valuable consideration
Any person or entity competing against another. In business, a company in the same industry or a similar industry which offers a similar product or service. In this case is referred to a maritime environment.
Maritime Contractors
Are international trade association representing companies and organizations engaged in delivering offshore, marine and underwater solutions.
Maritime Agencies & Husbandry Agencies
That provides a wide range of service in the maritime field. These include logistics, expertise, control, international removals, transit, consolidation, etc. Besides, when you have a vessel in port, it is important that the husbandry services are delivered on time and well coordinated with the vessel operation.

Ship repairs or Dry-docking
In dry docking, a ship is removed from the water to enable work to be performed on the exterior part of the ship below the waterline. Ships are constructed on dry docks.

A stevedoring company is in charge of carrying out the cargo handling in the port operations.

Liner Trade and Conferences
Agreement between two or more shipping companies to provide scheduled cargo and/or passenger service on a particular trade route under uniform rates and common terms. Also called shipping conference.

The London Baltic Exchange
Is the world's only independent source of maritime market information for the trading and settlement of physical and derivative contracts. It publishes the Baltic Dry Index (BDI) which provides pricing information on a variety of shipping cargo types along different routes. The index is used by economists and investors to determine the demand for shipping versus the total shipping capacity.
The Ports
It's a harbour where goods from ships can be loaded and discharged. Port operations are a necessary tool to enable maritime trade between trading partners.
The Governmental Bodies
The persons (or committees, departments, etc.) who integrates a body for the purpose of administering the maritime issues of a country.
Bank - Financial Organizations
Which is an institution that provides financial services for its clients or members.
Shipbuilders (Ship - yards)
Shipbuilding is the construction of ships and floating vessels. It normally takes place in a specialized facility known as a shipyard.
Shipbuilding and ship repairs, both commercial and military, are referred to as "naval engineering".
Classification Societies and “Surveyors"
A classification society is a non-governmental organization that establishes and maintains technical standards for the construction and operation of ships and offshore structures.

The Surveyor is an organization who conducts inspections, surveys or examinations of marine vessels to assess, monitor and report on their condition and the products on them. Marine surveyors also inspect equipment intended for new or existing vessels to ensure compliance with various standards or specifications.
Ship owner’s Chamber Association
This usually are international trade associations for merchant shipowners and operators, representing all sectors and trades and over 80% of the world merchant fleet.
Seafarers & Union´s Seafarers
Is an organization of autonomous labor unions of mariners, fishermen and boatmen working aboard vessels.
Which are focused on teaching practical skills which can be use on the sea or in industries related. It also offers classes in maritime law, international business, engineering, technology, and many other fields directly related to careers on the high seas.
trade among nations makes the world better off. Yet international trade can be one of the most contentious of political issues, both domestically and between governments.
Thanks to the growing efficiency of shipping as a mode of transportation and its participation in the increase of the countries economy, exists a development of many actors as result of the heavy incomes and revenues owed to the vessel. That’s why these actors get along together with the “mean of production” in order to create a very extensive Co-operation world which is designed to develop the maritime trade and all the resources that are needed to operate a safe and efficient shipping industry.
