Hungary By Munib Masharib Europe History Formation Founded in the late 9th century by the Hungarian ruler Arpad Wars WWI- fighting with a lot of countries, WWII- invaded by Germany, Hungarian Conquest of Slovokia- conquered Slovokia, Soviet Invasion of Hungary- invaded by the Soviet Union Tourism Hungary has many attractions for tourists. It has old style churches and opera houses, and they also have a lot of modern entertainment like museums and galleries. There are festivals and parties the whole year. Hungary also offers beautiful natue scenery. You can hike, bike, or horseback ride in Hungary's nature. Gyula Aggházy

these people were all scientists Important People Population There are about ten million Hungarians today. Most of them are Magyars. Language Hungarian is the official language. Rel[igion Most Hungarians are Christian. Some Hungarians are Protestant, Jewish, and Catholic. Music Some music is Hungarian folk music. There have been many famous performers, conductors, and composers from Hungary. Culture Food Hungarian dishes often represent the Hungarian culture. Food is often flavored with paprika. There is a specific type of sour cream called tejföl and it is often used to soften a foods flavor. Hungarians might eat Fisherman's Soup and drink beer to go along with it. A traditional meal might be Goulash as the main meal which is a stew. For dessert they might have Dobos Cake, and they may have Tokaji to drink. Tokaji is a type of wine made in Hungary. Folklore

Hadúr Sport The Hungarian Olympic team has won a lot os medals. A lot of those medals were gold medals. There are also many futball stars from Hungary. Red represented strength, white represented faithfulness and green represented hope. Government Export/Import Hungary's main exports are machinery and other equipment. Hungary's main imports are fuel, electricity, and food products. Type of Government The present form of government in Hungary is parliamentary republic and it has been that way since 1989. Economy Hungary uses the forint as their form of money, but they plan on adopting the euro soon. Flag Geography Land Pastures, meadows, vineyards, and gardens are all types of land in Hungary. The landscape consists of flat to rolling plains and some low mountains. Climate There are hot summers and cold and snowy winters. It also rains a lot. Map Cities The capital is Budapest and other main cities are Sopron and Eger. The End
