Chapter 10, 11 & 12
Justify the need to have a public relations professional.
Having a public relations professional is important because they will expose your company to the public in the best ways. With better exposure and public relations the consumers will be drawn to your product more than your competitors.
Point out how puffery impacts the media industry
During the time of World War II the media industry used puffery to over-exaggerate the nazi regime in order to boost American morale. Americans were not the only ones to use puffery in order to justify their war efforts.
Understand how a common carrier impacts media consumers.
Being that common carriers are required to provide service to all on an equal basis, it impacts the way consumers will decide who they want as their cellular provider. After the iPhone became available through each of the major providers it was only a matter of offering the "best deal" to sell the most phones.
iPhone Carriers
The major carriers of the iPhone are AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint. However each offers different coverage and data plans. So depending on ones needs, one may benefit more from AT&T than they will with Verizon.
The 2012 NHL Lockout
Shortly after the NHL ended it's lockout last season Jason Mollica, President at JRM Comm, Inc., posted video directed towards the NHL and how they can restore their fan base after their second lockout in ten years.
The Comic Book Industry
