BUT.......
Some X-Rays are unsafe! Any X-Rays that are used to treat diseases can expose your baby to high doses of radiation which can cause miscarriage or lead to other birth defects, like leukemia later on in life.

YES! Pregnant women are able to take X-Rays. Diagnostic X-rays , such as dental and chest X-Rays are now considered safe to pregnant women.

Before taking an X-ray, be sure to tell your doctor if you think you might be pregnant or if you already are pregnant.
If you take an X-Ray you HAVE to wear a lead apron!
