Assistive/Instructional Technology The student that I will be Talking about today his name is Bryan.. Bryan is an ESL student who speaks Arabic as his first language. Some of these tools are graphic organizers ,talking text readers, or specific assistive technology communication devices designed for receptive and expressive communication. software such Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) IN my classroom, I use the smart board to support the academic needs of Bryan. By using power point I incorporate a lot of images, movies and diagrams which it helped Bryan to understand the new concept. Furthermore, it increased his vocabulary about the subject. My immediate goal is to help Bryan to become a strong communicator and my long term goal is to ensure that Bryan with his disability will be able to participate in the standardize tests. The coast of the smart board and the laptop will reach the around $7000.
