To view your financial aid awards, click on the Financial Aid Awards link.
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
The Ventura County Community College District (VCCCD) Financial Aid Offices establish standards of academic progress in accordance with federal regulations.
Financial aid disbursements, also known as refunds, are disbursed to students through BankMobile.
Federal Pell Grant
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
Cal Grant Full-Time Student Success Grant (12+ units)
Chafee Grant (Current/former foster youth)
VC Promise Grant (covers Enrollment Fees, Health Fee, Student Center Fee, & Student Rep Fee)
Electronic deposit to bank account (1-2 business days)

Checking Your Financial Aid Status
Log on to your MyVCCCD portal and check your financial aid status.
Go to the Financial Aid tab and view any outstanding requirements.
Money that a student borrows and has to pay back with interest
Aid awarded to students with the opportunity to work on campus
Award amounts are typically based on full-time enrollment (12 units or more).
Board of Governor's (BOG) Fee Waiver and VC Promise Grant awards do not get disbursed to students.
Types of Financial Aid
To be eligible for financial aid, students must meet or exceed these standards.
Minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA in all coursework attempted
Minimum course completion rate of 70% in all coursework attempted

Maximum Time Frame
Students must complete their educational goal within 150% of the length of their program of study.
To receive federal financial aid at Ventura College, students must be enrolled in an eligible program of study and goal offered by Ventura College.
Undecided/undeclared majors and CSU-GE/IGETC certifications are not eligible programs of study.
Students awarded aid other than the BOG Fee Waiver or VC Promise Grant will receive a Refund Selection Kit from BankMobile mid July.

Students receiving the VC Promise Grant must finalize enrollment by August 25, 2017.
Students who drop courses or completely withdraw after this date may be required to repay any Promise funds.
Cal Grant High School Verification
Students awarded a Cal Grant must verify their high school graduation status at
2018-2019 FAFSA and California Dream Act Application are available October 1, 2017.
Disbursements will be available to students within 7-21 days of the disbursement dates.
