She has a twin brother who is Apollo(god of music, the sun, poetry, etc.)
Her symbols are golden bow and arrow, the hunting dog, the stag, and the moon.
She is the goddess of hunting, wild animals, wilderness ,and childbirth.
Her Rome equivalent is Diana Fun Facts about Artemis At the age of six, Artemis sat on her dad's (who is Zeus, god of everything) lap and made six wishes. Those six wishes are: to remain a virgin, to have many names to set apart from Apollo, her brother,to have a bow and arrow and a knee-length tunic so that she could hunt, to have sixty 'daughters of Okeanos', who are all the age of nine so they can be her choir, to be the Phaesporia, and for twenty Amnisides Nymphs as handmaidens to watch her bows and dogs while she rested. Who is Artemis? Artemis is mainly the goddess of hunting but she is also the goddess of wild animals, the wilderness, and childbirth. She hunt with a silver bow just like her brother, Apollo.
