Who Is Michael Jackson?
Michael Joseph Jackson a.k.a the King of Pop, was known for his music, dancing, acting, and fashion.
Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary Indiana.
M.J. was the eighth child out of ten.
The whole family lived in a three bedroom home.
M.J. died on June 25, 2009 at the age of 50.

Michael and his brother Marlon joined the Jackson brothers.
Micheal did backup vocals and dancing.
When Jackson was eight, he began sharing lead vocals.
The group then changed its name to "The Jackson Five"
After playing the scarecrow in "The Wiz" Michael decided he wanted to make a solo album
Micheal Jackson and Quincy Jones produced M.J's first solo album "Off the Wall"
Released in 1979, it was the first solo album to generate four U.S top hits
"Thriller", an album released in late 1982, was 1983's best-selling album worldwide
Thriller then became the best-selling album of all time worldwide
Thriller is the first and only music video to be inducted in the National Film by the Library of Congress
Micheal Jackson lived in a poor african american community
His mother was a devote Jehovah Witness and his father was a steel mill worker and performed with an R&B band called "The Falcons"
M.J. had a troubled relationship with his father. In 2003, Jackson stated that he was abused as a child

After the Jackson Five became famous he left public school and was tutored at home three hours a day. He was tutored Monday through Fridays
He was accepted in an art program in college
He graduated from Montclair College Preporatary School
One of his classmates were Kathy Hilton, Paris Hilton's mother

Michael Jackson had three sisters: Rebbie, La Toya, and Janet, and five brothers: Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Randy
Jackson married his second wife Deborah Jeanne Rowe, and had three children: Paris Katherine Jackson, Michael Jackson Jr., and Prince Jackson the second
In 1984, Michael Jackson was invited to the White House to recieve from president Ronald Reagan, for his support of charities that helped people with alcohol and drug addiction
Micheal also wrote the charity single, "We Are The World", with Lionel Richie
This song was released worldwide to help kids in U.S. and Africa. 30 million copies were sold and copies sold and millions of dollars donated to famine relief
