Her daughters were both at her bedside when she passed away.

The Life and Times
Marie struggled to obtain appropriate schooling, and attended what is called a floating university.
She received a master's degree in mathematics and physics.
Aplastic Anemia
Aplastic anemia occurs when bone marrow ceases to produce enough red blood cells to keep your body working right.

When one has aplastic anemia, their bodies weaken, their hearts are unsteady, and they feel tired and ill all the time. It's just generally no fun.
Cause and Effects
Marie Curie became practically blind, had a hard time hearing, and had feverish spells. She started to lose her mind and could barely keep on her feet.
Though she was ill, and she knew it, she continued to work until she could not stay upright. She literally worked herself to death.
