Military spending
Technological advancements

baby boom cars... Keynesian economics possible for government to regulate economy without intruding into the private sector
varying the flow of gov't. spending/ taxation
managing supply of currency
possible to maintain permanent prosperity

1953- eased credit/ money more available
1957- recession
Eisenhower ignored Keyesian and had slow results
finally accepted when JFK passed tax cut in 1964
stimulated economic growth and lowered unemployment
comforting weaknesses
blacklisted people were often fired and had trouble finding jobs
poor families suffered as gap widened between incomes
