Decide what information you need
Ask yourself if you'll need:
- Background information
- Explanations of concepts
- Counter examples/evidence
What is a Bibliography?
A list of sources that may be used later for a paper/project.
Why is annotating a bibliography important?
Writing descriptions/comments about a source will help when looking at a source later.
Be sure to check other items as well:
-note your quotes
-quote in context
-reinstatement of the main point
-include important details
-do not include comments
-shortened version of a passage/chapter/whole book
-IN YOUR OWN WORDS
-emphasize the main point
Group similar pieces of information together
Look for patterns
Combine the ideas
Balance ideas with two or more sources
Apply your own knowledge or experiences
